The Dead Sea Wonder

Every year thousands of people from across the world visit the banks of the dead sea to indulge their skins in the magnificent minerals that have been celebrated for millennia. At 1320 feet below sea level the dead sea is the lowest point on earth. The dead sea,  earth's lowest surface is undoubtedly one of the most mineral rich places on the planet. With no outlet - the dead sea has become a storehouse of precious minerals that have seeped from rocks and soil and carried by springs to the dead sea. The Dead Sea contains over 21 essential minerals, of which many cannot be found anywhere else on earth. The concentration of minerals and salts are so high that humans can float carelessly in the dead sea without sinking. Minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron are known for their ability to calm aching muscles and joints, stimulate natural circulation, smooth and soften the skin and help relieve stress and tension.

One thing is certain - the dead sea has been a place of fascination and mystery for centuries. The famous Greek philosopher Aristotle described it as 'very bitter and salty water in which no fish can live and where neither man or animal can sink'. King Herod found relief for his aching body here, and so did thousands of conquering Roman soldiers. They used the highly concentrated magnesium and calcium from Dead Sea waters as a balm to soothe their aches and pains. But certainly the most famous ancient person who celebrated the miracles of the dead sea, must be Cleapatra. Legend has it that Cleopatra ordered her lover Mark Anthony to conquer this area so that she could have a lifetime supply of it's mud and minerals.

Today science confirmed the wonders of the dead sea and cosmetics produced from it's minerals, have become just as sought after as in the days of Cleopatra. Unlike Cleopatra, you don't have to travel thousands of miles to experience the wonders of the dead sea on your skin - Kedem brings it to you! Kedem Cosmetics not only uses dead sea muds and minerals, but also include a host of other natural age-defying ingredients. Read more about these
